Ken Adachi On Dowsing and Walt Woods

Ken Adachi has been trained in dowsing by master Walt Woods and in this article I discovered he shares his knowledge on the subject. Be sure to read it. It’s a pretty good introduction. Here:

Introduction
We can access higher frequency vibrational planes of consciousness through varied means- meditation, psychedelic drugs, clairvoyance, medium ship, remote viewing, etc. Some means may be harmful or dangerous for some people, while other techniques require natural gifts, and yet others require a lot of training to become competent in.

Dowsing, on the other hand, is one of the easiest ways to access a repository of unlimited knowledge, referred to by Carl Jung as the “collective unconscious” or the “super conscious mind”. Based on the books I’ve studied and the workshops I’ve taken with master dowser Walt Woods, I get the idea that you are gaining access to this library of unlimited knowledge through your Higher Self – with the least amount of time invested in study and training. Many people think that dowsing is only used for the purpose of finding water or minerals, but dowsing can be used to obtain ANSWERS and information about anything, providing you frame the question correctly.

When you dowse, you are engaged in a dialog with your Higher Self and other spirit guides who are trying to assist you in obtaining the information you seek. You are asking a question in your mind that is most often framed with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer. When you learn more advanced dowsing skills, you can ask for answers that go beyond this framework, but most dowsing questions are answered using the ‘yes’ or ‘no’ format.

Let me start with a little bit of history about how I got into it. My dad’s been drilling wells since 1959. I was born in 1965 so I kind of grew up in the drilling business. Dad taught me to find water using brass rods when I first started following him around on the drilling site. It used to be kind of a neat little hat trick when I was a kid. We’d go out onto a job site, jump out, and Dad would say, Rod, run out there and work us up a good location. Well, of course, the customer thought that was funnier than anything, watching this little kid out there wondering around with a brass rod in each of his hands. After I came back I’d say, “Yup, Up found one.” Then Dad would take the rods and say, “Is it over here?” And I’Upay, “Yup.” Then Dad would find the same exact spot that I did.

I get a lot of questions ask me about how and why it works.

That’s impressive, but what is even more impressive is that it works. Allow me to share with you this excellent article that goes into the details:

Quote by Albert Einstein

“I know very well that many scientists consider dowsing as they do astrology, as a type of ancient superstition. According to my conviction this is, however, unjustified. The dowsing rod is a simple instrument which shows the reaction of the human nervous system to certain factors which are unknown to us at this time.”

DOWSING THE ANCIENT ART

The earliest reference to dowsing as it is practised to day came from the German speaking lands of northern Europe in the fifteenth century. By the sixteenth century miners in several parts of Germany were using dowsing to locate veins of mineral ore. Georg Bauer also known as Geogius Agricola (1494 – 1555) described how dowsers search for ore in his famous work De Re Metallca. He wrote: All alike grasp the forks of the twig with their hands, clenching their fists, it being necessary that their clenched fingers should be held towards the sky in order that the twig should be raised at that end where the two branches meet. Then they wander hither and thither at random through mountainous regions. It is said that the moment they place their feet on a vein the twig immediately turns and twists and so by its action discloses the vein; when they move their feet again and go away from that spot the twig becomes once more immobile.

As demand for ore increased mines opened up across Europe. Prospectors traveled far in the search for new deposits and metal ore, amongst these prospectors were dowsers.

In England, Elizabeth I encouraged German prospectors and mining experts to develop the resources of her land. Together with their expertise in smelting and metal working they also brought their art of searching for metal ores with a forked twig.

DOWSING IN MODERN TIMES

In more modern times dowsing has been and is still used in many areas of life.

Here’s a great article I found by Diane Marcotte from the Canadian Society of Dowsers about Dowsing, and Dowsing Tools:

Dowsing is the process of using a tool such as a pendulum or rod to discover things that cannot be discovered using our everyday senses. It is a term, which in the past has been associated primarily with the finding of water sources. Modern dowsers dowse for oil & gas, minerals, water, lost objects, lost people with perhaps one of the most common uses today being the use of a pendulum to determine one’s state of health and whether particular medicines, supplements, etc. should be taken.

Dowsing Tools

A dowsing tool is nothing more than a communication device. In and of itself it has no power and no ability to move. Although no one knows how or why dowsing works, it seems that the movement of the pendulum or rod(s) is controlled through or by your subconscious (or something of that nature). Most experienced dowsers use all the basis dowsing tools. These are the pendulum, L-rods, Y-rod and the Bobber with the first two being easily made from materials on hand. Any object hung from a piece of string is a pendulum and a old wire coat hanger can be cut and bent into a L-rod. The tool chosen is usually just the most convenient one for the job at hand. As dowsing devices come in all sizes, shapes and materials, it is important only that you choose a tool that you’re comfortable with for all instruments work equally well for experienced dowsers.
